Very nice experience for 3 stars hotel. Staff is welcoming, Rooms are clean, hotel smells really good, bathrooms are renovated and it has a very nice outdoor sitting area 12 KM away from Giethoorn, you can cycle with electrical bike which can be rented in the premises or drive it for more convenience especially that parking is free in the center You need to inform them about your dining desire in advance which might be limiting

The hotel is in a great countryside location. The welcome was poor. The host was in the bar and we stood in the doorway with bags etc and waited for an acknowledgement and attention. His first question was ‘are you having dinner here tonight?’ Not ‘hello, welcome, how was your journey?’! We were shown to our room and the room was clean and smart. Plain decor. No sockets by the bed, all sockets in one place! And the TV was not 4G so we couldn’t stream our own services. The TV appeared to require a PIN code for anything other than local channels (no guide either) but we were told that the engineer wasn’t available at weekends! On a very rainy evening the lack of access to streaming etc is a missed opportunity. We had dinner elsewhere, but came back for a late drink in the bar. The young bar staff were very nice and I enjoyed a good whiskey in a warm pub style bar. Very nice. The breakfast was great too. Good choice and a nice room overlooking the water at the side of the hotel.

Hotel Cafe Geertien, Muggenbeet, Blokzijl, Netherlands is one of the best hotels I have visited. It is in northern parts of Netherlands, situated in National Park. Everything about the hotel is excellent. Location extraordinary, excellent. Near by activities, you can do various things. Restaurant beyond imagination. Rooms, all you want is there. Food good. Staff very courteous, cooperative, charming, and knowledgeable about the area.
